PLEASE NOTE: Tyendinaga Township Waste Transfer Site, located at 6663 Old Hwy#2 CANNOT accept any type of refuse waste from residents of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Provincial Orders prohibits Tyendinaga Township from accepting refuse from other municipalities or Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

Regular Household Waste is collected on Tyendinaga M. T. on:

East End > Mondays (unless Monday is a holiday, then pick-up is bumped ahead 1 day)

West End > Tuesdays (unless Monday is a holiday, then pick-up is bumped ahead 1 day)

Note: Chief and Council have waived the Bag Tag requirement for up to 3 bags during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Recycle is collected:

East End > Thursdays (unless Friday is a holiday, then pick-up is bumped back 1 day)

West End > Fridays (unless Friday is a holiday, then pick-up is bumped back 1 day)

Transfer Depot Operations:

Open Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays 8:30am-4:30pm

MBQ accepts Electronics, tires, scrap metal, cooking oil, motor oil, household hazardous waste, and large bulky items (i.e. furniture, items that do not fit into a regular garbage bag for curbside pick-up) at the Transfer Depot.
