Information Technology

Information Technology (IT) assists MBQ departments in responding to the needs of community members by enabling employees to quickly access vital information via technology. We are dedicated to providing quality service through teamwork, partnerships, and developing team and individual strengths.

Functions & Activities

IT serves MBQ departments by integrating computer systems, coordinating and providing training, negotiating and managing information technology related contracts, and technology assistance and support. The department creates the technological environment that enables MBQ employees to quickly access vital information using the most efficient and cost effective system hardware and software. The department provides leadership as an active partner in the regional telecommunications and data-sharing network.

Goals include:

  • Providing quality, cost effective telecommunication services to all MBQ departments.
  • Providing and maintaining effective business applications, which meet our communities needs.
  • Providing and maintaining a secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology Infrastructure.
  • Increasing public access to information and MBQ services through the Internet.

 

Help Desk Support

The Help Desk Support assists MBQ departments to share and access information by:  

  • Providing service and support for computer systems.
  • Assisting with the purchase, installation and management of computers and servers.
  • Contributing expertise with Business Area Analysis and Business System Design.
  • Providing quality, cost effective telecommunication services to all MBQ departments.
  • Applying technology to support and reflect the goals of MBQ.
