Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) has received information from local community partners and Paramedics Services indicating they responded to seven (7) opioid related events June 29 in Belleville. This is high number of opioid events to be reported in Belleville in one day. Anecdotal reports indicate the substance may be a toxic batch of Fentanyl. HPEPH and partners are gathering information on this. We urge people who use drugs to take the steps below to reduce your risk of having a drug poisoning event.
