On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte had a special visit from Jim and Burnett Creeggan!
You may recognize Jim from The Barenaked Ladies, and he and his father Harold stopped by to return a beaded cross that was gifted to their grandfather/father, Bishop Creeggan, during his time at Christ Church in Tyendinaga.
Jim’s great grandfather was Reverend Alfred Creegan who was the rector in Tyendinaga from 1902-1927, and his grandfather Bishop Jack Burnett Creegan was raised in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, growing up in the old rectory behind the Elder’s Lodge.
