INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH

Today is International Day of Action for Women’s Health, which for over 30 years, women’s rights advocates and allies in sexual health and reproductive rights movements have commemorated in diverse ways. Each year, women, girls, advocates, and allies have continued to take action and stand up for sexual and reproductive rights for what they are: an indivisible and inalienable part of our human rights.

Read photos below to help us celebrate the women in our community and participate for a chance to get entered into a draw for a gift card. We strongly encourage taking this opportunity to discuss the importance of women’s health with our children and teens—you can complete this activity on your own or have your little ones, teenagers or grandchildren participate with you! Please print and send the colouring page and your sentence on why you think women’s health is important to our Community Health Team’s Sexual Health Nurse Sara at chn2@mbq-tmt.org by 4:30 p.m. June 7.
