Ohahase Education Centre is a Ministry of Education-inspected secondary school and offers a wide range of both compulsory and optional courses for students in Grades 9 – 12.
Learners can enroll in up to four courses in each of the two semesters over the academic year. Smaller class sizes, a culturally-appropriate learning environment, personalized support and dedicated staff make the Ohahase Education Centre an excellent choice for learners who wish to earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) right here in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Anyone who has completed Grade 8 may enroll, and there are no upper age restrictions.
Ohahase Education Centre also offers an Adult Education/Self-Study program for those who prefer to study independently and at their own pace. This can be an ideal option for those who are not able to attend daily classes, but who wish to earn the credits they need to obtain their OSSD, or who need specific credits for a post-secondary program. Ohahase provides all necessary supplies and materials, and, staff are available daily to provide tutoring support, exam preparation and evaluations.
