FAST FACTS

Courts have approved the Settlement between Canada and certain First Nations and their members who were subject to a drinking water advisory that lasted at least one year between November 20, 1995 and June 20, 2021.
As an individual, you can submit a Claim Form even if your First Nation does not submit a Band Council Acceptance Resolution. Individuals can also apply for additional compensation for Specified Injuries.
The Claims Period is now open.
The deadline to submit is March 7, 2024.
