Our program provides services to families that reside on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, being mindful of culture and language when developing programming.
Family Health and Child Development services are open to everyone, with a target group of  children ages 0-6.

We are funded by Health Canada, the Ministry of Children & Youth Services and the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians

Programs & Services

Home Visiting Services

Our goal during a home visit is to provide parents, caregivers and their families with support and information to help children get a healthy start in life. During a home visit, we also focus on the developmental tasks of children ages 0-6. Family Health and Child Development is a voluntary program available to families with children that reside in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Clients must receive a minimum of one home visit per month.
At a home visit, we can offer:
– assistance with birth plans
– taking care of yourself and your baby before and after your baby arrives
– what to expect as your child grows and develops, and, fun ways to help your child’s development
– provide development screening tools
– bonding with your child
– any supports you will need to address issues you may have
– healthy eating habits for you and your family
– helping with sibling rivalry
