A case of COVID-19 was officially identified in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory this morning (November 23). Since the onset of the pandemic, our Community Health team has handled 22 positive cases with 20 individuals recovering from the virus, and one community member passing away. The health team continues to encourage everyone to become fully vaccinated. Appointments for first, second or booster doses can be made by visiting mbq-tmt.org. The community is also being reminded to get tested for COVID-19 as soon as you begin experiencing symptoms, no matter how minor they may seem and regardless of your vaccination status.
