NOTICE: Fisheries and Oceans Canada Conducting Research in the Bay of Quinte

Please note MBQ has been notified that Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) will be conducting fisheries health research on Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte.

DFO boats like the one pictured below may be seen on the Bay of Quinte at times while they conduct fieldwork during the summer. Additionally, starting this month and throughout the summer they will be doing some electrofishing catch and release work at night which will have lights and beeping sounds associated with it on the Bay. The work will inform of the health of the fishes and the report will be shared with MBQ.
