The 241st Annual Mohawk Landing will take place this Sunday, May 18! The event will begin with a re-enactment and ceremony at the Landing Site (348 Bayshore Road). The ceremony will be about an hour long, followed by a break for community church services. Afterwards, everyone is invited to the Mohawk Community Centre (1807 York Road) for a luncheon, Artisan Showcase and A Forced Relocation: Fort Hunter Mohawks Move to Kenhteke a presentation by Iehnhotonkwas Bonnie Jane Maracle. We hope to see you there! Please note this is a rain or shine event, so dress according to the weather conditions. The Landing Site is currently quite wet due to recent rain, so waterproof footwear is strongly encouraged.
