Please be advised that due to the Heat Warning currently in effect, Rez Soccer League and team photos have been CANCELLED for this evening. Photos will be rescheduled for another Monday during the season. Environment Canada is warning of daytime highs of 33 to 36 degrees celsius with humidex values of 42 to 46, and overnight lows providing little relief from the heat.
Be sure to drink water often and before you feel thirst to stay hydrated. Close blinds and shades to keep indoor spaces as cool as possible, and turn on air conditioning or fans to keep your living space cool. It is important to limit exposure to the sun and heat during these heat warnings, and keep an eye on those most at-risk such as seniors and children. It’s also important to remember never to leave pets inside a parked vehicle, especially during these heat events.
