A meeting of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council was held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers via Microsoft Team Conferencing.

Staff: Angela Maracle, Senior Director of Operations; Shelley Bowden, Executive Administrative Assistant and Recording Secretary to Council;
David Souliere, CAO absent due to being on vacation
MOTION #1: Moved by Kelly Maracle, seconded Lynda Leween by that the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council Special Minutes of May 18, 2021 be approved.
Carried.
MOTION #2: Moved by Carl E. (Ted) Maracle, seconded by Lynda Leween that the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council Minutes of May 19, 2021 be deferred.
Carried.
MOTION #3: Moved by Kelly Maracle, seconded by Lynda Leween that the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council Special Minutes of May 20, 2021 be approved.
Carried.
Council confirmed the following scheduled meetings:

MOTION #5: Moved by Carl E. (Ted) Maracle, seconded by Lynda Leween to approve to pay the Hicks Morley Invoice #571038 in the amount of $1,230.00 regarding Human Resources; #571039 in the amount of $3,102.00 regarding Human Resources.

MOTION #6: Moved by Carl E. (Ted) Maracle, seconded by Lynda Leween to approve to pay the Olthuis Kleer Townshend invoice #31528 in the amount of $1,900.00; #31562 in the amount of $3,392.00; #32169 in the amount of $175 regarding the DFO Charges.

MOTION #7: Moved by Josh Hill, seconded by Lynda Leween to approve to pay the Templeman Menninga invoice #107943 in the amount of $504.00 regarding Housing.

MOTION #9: Moved by Kelly Maracle, seconded by Carl E. (Ted) Maracle to approve scheduling a meeting with Abraham Francis, Iroquois Caucus Coordinator on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. regarding the Iroquois Caucus Strategic Plan.

MOTION #10: Moved by Kelly Maracle, seconded by Lynda Leween to approve letter be drafted to Minister of Natural Resources, Mayor Ferguson and
contact Kate Kempton OKT for Legal advice (Hunting & Fishing Rights) regarding the new conservation reserves PEC.

MOTION #11: Moved by Carl E. (Ted) Maracle, seconded by Kelly Maracle to re-appoint Susan Barberstock, Director of Community Wellbeing on the Highland Shores CAS Board 2021 – 2022.

MOTION #12: Moved by Kelly Maracle, seconded by Lynda Leween to approve scheduling Culbertson Tract Land Claim Partial Settlement engagements sessions on August 6, 7, 2021, 1 – 4; august 12, 2021 6 – 9; August 13, 2021, 1 – 4; August 24, 2021, 1 – 4 and September 7, 2021, 9 – 12.
