Road Closure – Ridge Road at Norways through Beach Road at Young Street
Please be advised that due to blowing snow, Beach Road is closed to all traffic from Ridge Road to 483 Beach Road. Beach Road From 483 to Young Street is open to local traffic only. Please plan an alternate route and drive with caution.

Background
The Roads Department ensures the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all MBQ road networks on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Overview
The Roads Department is responsible for maintaining 12.76 km of gravel, 27.66 km of paved and 39.57 km of surface treated roads.
MBQ’s total road network equates 79.99 km
The Roads Department also completes maintenance on 9 bridge structures throughout the Territory.
Operation and maintenance include:
- Repair and/or replace road signs, repair guide rails, dust control
- Complete new culvert installations
- Apply gravel to roads and shoulders as required
- Ditching
- Snow plowing in the winter season
- Apply sand and salt to roads
- Minor road reconstruction, grading, clean bridges
- Repair soft spots
